The fall of the giants
Suspended from the black flanks of a mountain of carbon,
a titanic glacier teeters, flayed and shattered.
It collapses slowly, piece by piece,
as if the sky itself were giving up its shape.
Its icy flesh, streaked with dark sediment torn from the rock,
traces the story of an age-old struggle - a crushed memory
a crushed memory, a fragile order born of chaos.
Beneath the fine snow, the mountain seems almost peaceful,
like a colossus mourning its own fragments.
Below, the ocean receives the cold ruins
of a world fading as it reveals itself.
It's a scene where grandeur crumbles,
where silence has the taste of vertigo.
A raw, tired, poignant beauty.
Time falls, too.
